PA-OH Biosurveillance Grid Wiki
From Open Rods Documentation Wiki
In this CDC funded project we are building the Pennsylvania Ohio Biosurveillance Grid PA-OH BiG. PA-OH BiG will participating members share their data and outbreak detection algorithms with participating grid members. The proposed PA-OH BiG comprises five participating entities:
- the Allegheny County Health Department (ACHD) in Pennsylvania,
- the Ohio Department of Health (ODH),
- the Pennsylvania Department of Health (PADOH),
- the RODS Laboratory at the University of Pittsburgh, and
- the Centers for Disease and Prevention (CDC). Our proposed work will implement data and outbreak detection algorithms sharing between county, state, region (PA and OH) and nation (CDC).
Currently our software development is focusing on the following use case
- One health department wishes to obtain notifiable disease data about local residents who visit a healthcare facility outside the health department's jurisdiction (i.e., notifiable disease data was reported to another health department)
